THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS.....

We all converged on our small, country ('home') town, to celebrate a beautiful life..............

Tina, Nellie, Cath B, Kerry, Drucilla G, Kerry, Fern Valley Farm, The Pattersons, Razamataz, Aunty Nat, Tasmin, Nat F, Megan T, Sally H and everyone else who sent their condolences through my blog or through letter, card, email, text or spoken word - THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I will not forget your kindness and sincerity. I hope I can be there for you in times of need, crisis, celebration and joy.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing people. I value and love you - my friends and family - so much!

The relationships that we form with people - are EVERYTHING in this short life.

Here's to a more settled week.

I am home at last!

  3. Oh you sweet girl. It is lovely to see you back and I hope that you and your family were able to celebrate your Nanna's life with many wonderful memories. Thank you for the lovely message on my blog and I know for a fact that if we lived closer we would most definitely be the 'having coffee together' type of friends. You and your family are still in my thoughts sweet Tracey. ~ Tina xx

  4. Hey my bella cousin, you are so inspiring!
I am concerned however that perhaps you don't sleep....looking at the times of some of your postings..and then to think that you would even contemplate leaving your bed at 5am for a stroll?!

I have been wondering if you and others came away from Nana's funeral with a profound sense of love, commitment and pride, in our family. Instead of sadness I feel admiration and awe at the tribute and legacy of our amazing Alma Jean.

    Can't wait to read more.....xx

  5. I LOVE YOU DEB! YOU BECAME A FOLLOWER!!! WOW! TELL me NOT IF, BUT when you start your blog !!!

HAVE NO FEAR ABOUT MY POSTING TIMES - THE TIME ON BLOG IS WRONG. FOR EXAMPLE THE REAL TIME IS now 8pm Friday night - look up top and see that the time is completely different and totally out of kilter. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.

I can assure you that I am usually so tired that I am in bed by 9.30 every night and I am up at the crack of dawn every other morning, thanks to Lily Kate!

I did however, foolishly rise at 5 one morning and go for the least enjoyable walk of my life, in the pitch black -once, and that shall never be repeated.

I also came home from Nana's funeral feeling just as you did. I was touched by the story of Nana helping and feeding Trixie, the poor and desperate Aboriginal woman. Nana was feeding 12 in her own family and yet she left food out for this lonely and isolated woman. What a dreadful life Trixie must have lived. Goodness knows what she would have encountered.

I loved seeing you and your girls. So pleased you popped into my blog. Keep in touch Deb. Off to bed - getting close to 9pm. Almost past my bedtime!

After your comment re: the time of my posts, I really must look into fixing this. x o

    Love Tracey x o x o

I loved that the cousins (as Darren said) had the 'real' wake with champagne after the actual wake and that Kaye and all of the crew turned up.

  7. DEBBIE - I fixed the time on my blog. I no longer appear to be blogging at 2 and 3 and 4 am, AKA Istanbul time, but have now fixed my blog to Sydney Eastern Standard time.

Sorry that you wrongly concluded that I was an insomniac with issues, requiring a family intervention. I hope that you didn't tell your Mum and that she didn't alert my Mum!! He, he ... Love you x o x Good night x o
